A huge step in the recommencing of international travel with the Trans-Tasman Bubble beginning between New Zealand and Australia as of the 19th April 2021.
Although these services are subject to Government regulations the Bubble is in full swing. So here is what you need to know should you wish to take advantage of this.
Quarantine Free Travel
Air New Zealand, Qantas and Jetstar are offering quarantine free flights between New Zealand and all Australian cities, meaning you have the flexibility and freedom to travel without being subject to the hotel quarantine regulations.
Travelling to Australia from New Zealand
There are a few things that you must complete before travelling from Australia to New Zealand:
- Anybody who wishes to travel to Australia is required to complete the online Australia Travel Declaration. You must submit this at least 72 hours before your departure to Australia. The completed will have to presented prior to check-in at the airport.
- Each individual Australian state have their own additional conditions upon entering. Please refer to the Australian Government Department of Health for the latest updates. Also see below links for further information

For those wishing to returning to New Zealand, please check that you are meeting the requirements of the New Zealand Government for your journey back home.
