Minimum Age Requirements:
Renters and additional authorized drivers must be twenty-one (25) years of age or older. Renters and additional authorized drivers under the age of twenty-five (25) may only be permitted to rent specific vehicle classes and an additional Young Driver Fee may apply. For rentals of Large Vans (seating capacity of 10 or more persons) and certain speciality vehicles, renters and additional authorized drivers must be twenty-five (25) years of age or older. No maximum age applies.
- Young Drivers Fees: from USD25.00 per person per day, payable locally. Fees may vary by location and are subject to change without prior notice.
Rental Requirements:
- A valid full driver's license and passport from country of origin must be presented at time of rental. Provisional licenses, 'learner's permit' or digital driver's licenses will not be accepted.
- Any additional and young drivers must meet the same requirements.
- Renters are required to have at least one major credit card in their name to provide credit card authorisation. Deposit will not be held. Credit cards accepted: American Express, Mastercard, VISA, and Discover Network.
- At some locations bank debit cards with the Visa or MasterCard logo may be accepted for such charges with a substantial minimum debit. Additional fees may apply, please check in advance.
- A major credit card will be required at time of checkout for any other charges not included in the prepaid program, e.g. fuel service, Roadside Assistance Plus/Roadside Protection (RAP/RSP), infant/child safety seats, one-way service fees and taxes.
- Cash will not be accepted at any location.
- Alamo reserves the right to refuse any request for rental, including requests for persons underage, persons not in possession of a recognized full and valid driver's license, persons unable to satisfy credit card requirements, or persons who, in the opinion of Alamo, constitute an unacceptable accident risk.
- Renters without a ticketed return travel itinerary will be required to provide a deposit in addition to estimated charges for the rental. Estimated charges include any charges not covered by the Voucher/E-Voucher. The following deposit amounts are required:
* USD400.00 per rental or
* USD850.00 per rental for the following vehicles classes: Performance Sport, Full Size Luxury SUV, Electric Luxury SUV, Full Size Elite Electric Sedan, Midsize Sport Luxury Sedan, Full Size Luxury Sedan,
